Company folds up shop as claims of fraud start coming out. As one of the largest names in the industry, this is a huge embarassment and shock to the binary options community.
iOption is another of the larger names in the Binary Options industry. They have been around since binary options really started to gain a foothold in the markets and they have gradually added more languages and features to their site as a result. Right off the bat, looking at their site, we found it to be cluttered with information scattered all over the place. Aside from the aesthetics of the site, it is overall a good choice as a broker. They currently have no geographic restrictions and will accept customers from any country. They offer quite a few currencies to fund your account with and they have a 24/7 support team in place to get you started and answer your questions.
We were able to connect with a live support agent after waiting for a few minutes. We found the iOption representative to be fairly knowledgeable about the financial industry after we focused our questions on a little bit more difficult subject matter. She was not overly pushy and only asked for our account details once to which we to here we were still in the decision making process. She could have very easily jumped in here with her sales pitch but chose not to which we found to be a rare thing in the industry.
In terms of the features available to customers, iOption offers all of the standard platforms including the newer 60 Seconds trading platform that has largely become the most popular method of trading binary options in the industry. Option Builder, Regular Binary Options and the One Touch platform are all there as well.
iOption also has a reasonably good educational section offering some good articles and a separate news blog site. Many brokers are now focusing their efforts of helping out and educating traders on the market mechanics and it appears that iOption has also jumped on this bandwagon.
Overall, iOption is a good looking broker. The site is a bit cluttered and seemingly disorganized for our liking but as a broker, they have been around for years and have thousands of traders using their platform. They aren’t too pushy when it comes to the live chat function and a salespitch and for that, we think they would be a suitable fit for newer traders just looking to test out the waters slowly without having to worry about being hounded.
iOption Review Findings:
Total Scam as shown in the message appearing on their news site shortly after it was made known that they had closed their doors, laid off employees and given no explanation.
